Filming rules

Respect the room.

Worship is sacred to the people there. These rules protect congregations, and you.

  • Ask permission before recording on church property, and follow any posted or stated rules
  • Never film other attendees, especially children. Keep the camera on yourself and public spaces
  • No recording during worship unless the church has explicitly allowed it. Record your thoughts afterward, in the parking lot or at home
  • Stay respectful. Critique the experience, not individuals
  • Disclose in your video that you were paid a flat fee to visit and review

No. We welcome reviewers from all backgrounds, including first-time visitors. What matters is that you're honest and respectful.

Where does this operate?

Only in Rochester, New York and the surrounding area. Applications from outside the region can't be accepted at this time.

Which churches will I visit?
